Meeting Yesenia - the movie

Many of you know, I had the opportunity to travel to El Salvador two years ago with Compassion International and Hearts at Home. On that trip I met Yesenia, a girl we have sponsored for over 10 years.

Even now, two years later I still can't believe I went.

If you'd like to read what I blogged about in El Salvador, you can go here.

Or, you can watch my Compassion video below!

Either way, if you don't already sponsor a child, please consider doing so today. If you already sponsor a child, write your child today. Your words have an amazing impact. That child is more than a picture, he or she is a living, breathing person struggling to overcome insurmountable odds and your words can and do make a difference.

megan...what an awesome video!!! my computer wont let me download the entire thing, but i watched the first half and am going to watch the rest, but wanted to let you know how much i love it.
megan, you have such a humbleness and genuine spirit about you that draws people to you. at the risk of sounding really cheesy, i just wanted to tell you that i LOVE and respect you more than i think you know. you are a rare person of love and wisdom. this video made me think of our trip to ukraine years ago...God is using you. I also love reading your adoption posts...i cannot wait to meet your little girl that's overseas.

That was really neat to see Megan - I agree with what Tami shared. : )

What an awesome gift to physically see the work your support and then Compassion as a whole can really do for the life of a child and family.

thanks for sharing.

Megan, this video is a beautiful testimony to the relationship you've built with Yesenia. Tami's right...your humble, authentic spirit speaks stronger to me about the work of Compassion than any over-produced promo could.
