I've Lost the Big M.
Through the giveaways, your comments and ideas have carried this blog. Somewhat covering up my lack of posts.
Not to pressure you or anything, but I'm looking to you to carry this blog. At least for the next week or maybe two...
I can't wait to read your comments and marriage advice.
And maybe by next week, I'll find my elusive blogging motivation again. Maybe the topics will start to find their way into my head.
But until then, thanks for keeping me afloat! :)

Dream Board
I wasn't thrilled when I first realized what the meeting would be about.
Time spent cutting pictures and words out of a magazine to represent my dreams, felt like a waste of time. And then I got started.
My dream board became a visual representation of how God is working in my life. I found ways to display my relationship goals with my husband and kids. It has reminders of the things I am praying for, quotes that inspire me and Bible verses that focus me.
There is value in taking your goals and putting them in visual form. It has a way of solidifying them.
I plan on placing this board beside the chair in my bedroom where I do my devotions. I am excited to see how God will work on me in these areas and how he will answer my prayers over the coming year.
And the Winner is...
Janel!
Janel - please e-mail me your mailing address (use the e-mail me tab on the side of my blog) and I will send your prize off to you!
Be sure to check back on Monday to find out what the next giveaway will be.
For another great Valentine's Day giveaway, be sure to check out Tami's blog.
Aren't giveaways grand!

Giveaways Galore!!!
Big Things
Sometimes I think the "big things" God asks me to do seem more like "little things."
Sometimes, I need to be reminded what the "big things" are.
On a recent Family Life radio broadcast, speaker Ann Wilson reminded me. She posed the following thought:
"What if God was saying... 'I want you to take all you have for me. And I want you to take that and give it to your husband. And I want him to know how much I love him, by the way you treat him.'"
Sometimes I want to do "big things" that the world will notice and I forget about the "big things" God has called me to. Things like loving my husband the way God loves me.
One thing I have learned over ten years of marriage is that loving my husband takes time and intentionality. Some days this comes easily. And some days it does not.
Regardless, it is my primary calling and when I love my husband I am doing a big thing for God.
