Here we go again!!!

Am I the right guy? I don't know, but I'm the guy being asked,
and the last thing I want to do is miss an opportunity
or make God mad, so I just keep saying yes.
-excerpt from Love Does by Bob Goff

I received an e-mail about a month ago from a friend who had the opportunity to visit Angel House, Suhn's former foster home in China. It contained the words "don't shoot me."

It went something like this:

"The other pictures I am sending, Don't Shoot Me, at the request of Eva (the director of Angel House). She asked me about the parents who adopted Suhn... They were advocating for this little boy and they felt you two would be great for him. They asked if I would take his picture and send them to you."

It took a month of thinking and praying, but guess what??

We said YES!!

I am SO EXCITED to introduce you to OUR SON!

We are hoping to bring him home sometime next spring.

He is 3.5, has mild cerebral palsy (he is an independent walker), and according to his file, has a naughty streak. He is also (according to his file) smart, loving and kind.

We think he will be a perfect fit for our little (or not so little) clan.

For now, we are calling him "little boy," but we hope to have a more American sounding name for him soon. I didn't plan on adding to our family anytime soon, but I am so thankful God had other plans and can't wait to see where this next adventure takes us!

So, Here we Go Again! Let the paper pregnancy begin!!!

I am so crazy excited! I can still not believe all the "things" that had to happen and all the people that had to say "yes" to God for this to happen...our God sure is a God of order. I think often (1) what if I didn't go to Angel House (2) what if Eva thought what are the odds I am not asking her if she keeps up with that family and really what are chances even if she does that they would take him (3) what if I didn't ask you because again - really God? (4) what if you responded from your flesh - are you crazy? rather than seeking God. All this for this adorable little boy that God has not forgotten. So much of God all over this story as it has continued to unfold. And he picked you! What an honor!

If anyone can take anything away from your story it would be to be so quick to say no to what makes no sense or what you may not even want, ask God is this you? is this what you want? because you just might be saying no to God, you just might be missing out on one heck of a blessing....look at his face...seriously I love this God and am just humbled to have been a small part of getting him home!

Love this Megan. Praying God will bless your obedience and that you will clearly feel Him besides you with all that lies ahead.

We'll be praying - what a blessing for you ALL.

Thanks Amber (and everyone)! God has given us so many little confirmations already, we have such a peace about this step, although it feels like one of the biggest steps of faith He has asked us to make so far. I know it won't be easy, but I also know we are walking where he wants us. Prayers are SO appreciated!!!

You guys totally amaze me! Ray and I observe you guys with Suhn and we are amazed at how you have adapted and how well she is doing! Now another little one with a disability has the blessing of being a part of your family. Praise God! (Grandparents may have to call in for some backup when babysitting!! lol)
